Got everything that I desire... Sets the summer sun on fire...
Well, this past Sunday was either Hallowe'en, All Hallow's Eve, or Samhain, depending on one's religious beliefs. But it seemed to get me the creeps. This year, as in past years, we had a couple people come in on Halloween and buy $50 - $75 worth of Halloween candy. I don't complain about this, maybe they have a big neighborhood or are very generous. What I do have a problem with are (a) the person who paid for the order of nothing but Halloween candy with their food stamps and (b) the one who paid for a penny in food stamps just to knock the tax off the candy. That's not exactly what food stamps are made for.
Well there're too many in back of me... And they're all tryin' to get in front of me...
I was working on the express lane that was 20 items or less, and I had a customer try and take two carts through. After telling her that I can't let her go through, as she has too many items, she tells me that I should see what she's doing and let her through. She was, in fact, breastfeeding her kid right through the checkout lane. Sheesh! Just because you're expressing does not mean you go through the express lane! (And of course, since her husband started to put stuff down, I can't refuse service -- stupid rules.)
I left my baby and I feel so bad, I guess my race is run... But she's the best girl I've ever had...
Let's just make one thing clear. It is not a good idea for a young lady to go into a store normal and try to leave the store eight months pregnant. She was a real turkey, believe you me (besides the fact that that's what she tried to steal.) It's also not a good idea to put the turkey under your dress in full view of the butcher, who told loss prevention, who stopped her at the store's exit. And she tried to deny it, yet she was holding the turkey to her abdomen! Dumb, dumb, dumb!
