From where quality comes first...
Sep. 1st, 2005 12:02 amDear customer,
You had a cart full of items. Now rather than unloading your cart on the belt like a normal person, you decided the best method was to hand me each item individually to be scanned. When I set the items down on the conveyor belt beyond the scanner, you flipped out - as you would have rather me bagged them immediately after scanning them. I could believe it if you wanted to check every price so that you didn't have to go to the courtesy desk afterwards, but that was not your reasoning.
No, your reasoning was that if I set down items on the belt, I was "endangering the health and safety" of your children. Setting items down on the belt will not endanger the health and safety of your children. I had, in fact, just cleaned the belt a minute before. You knew that - after all, when you came into the line, I still had the spray bottle and the paper towels in my hands. Besides, if you were that concerned with germs, why not look at your shopping cart? You don't know what's been in that shopping cart before you got it. You also do not know who handled the money you paid with before you did, and as I remember, at least three-quarters of all bills are tainted with drugs.
Bleep off and die,
Your cashier.
