From where quality comes first...
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes... I have to turn my head until my darkness goes...
Monday was packed. Between the fact that it was a national holiday and the fact that they were calling for snow, I'm not surprised.
We had baggers on about three-quarters of the lanes. I had a bagger. He had bagged three or four items when the customer saw him, and told him that she'd prefer to bag her own groceries. Fine, that I can handle. But then she asked for replacement items for everything that my bagger bagged, because she "didn't want n*****s handling her groceries".
Excuse me? Besides the fact that we have a whole bunch of stockpeople of various races, the customer can't have any idea who packed the groceries back at the manufacturing plant. Plus, she used one of two six-letter words that I can't stand (f***** being the other). I don't know how I kept my mouth shut, but thank goodness I did.
By the way, be it noted that I told my bagger what the lady had said, and he was furious. I suspect that customer might end up banned from our store, hopefully.
